What is it about human nature that opportunity to exploit becomes a fundamental force, resisting all attempts at economy and sustainability? I’m all for exploiting inside sensibility. How wonderful to work a grape farm in Northern China for a summer and harvest tons of grapes in the fall. But the refinement of exploitation yields such abundant harvest to an extent that all else is barren. That to me is the right taken to extreme. Makes one long for simplicity and rules that all must live by. A values war is needed.
