Did China just kick the shit out of the US and Europe with a 10 cent mask? The answer is quite possibly; we might just have had our Suez moment. The masks and a simple instruction, Go Outside During Before March 20 and We Will Arrest You, and now they are back in business selling goods and going to parks and living again. All the while the US has been threatening war, and China has just been working the tech and societal control angles to get the upper hand. Looks like they are winning, which is great for hoping in the US for some form of social safety net to come.
In the meantime, the US could start pricking people in the feet with a small dose of live virus to get them immune, similar to what we did for Smallpox a century ago. But of course, those at the most risk of infection right now are the gig and Amazon workers, so we can’t do that. No, instead they say it will take a bit to get a vaccine. Wait for it. Wait for it….
