  1. Nice article. I thought it was just generally a step in the right direction, myself, not a cure-all. Then again, I, too, just looked at our current POTUS when he was a candidate and saw a young Chicago machine politician – if I pointed that out to my Obama-Kool-Aid-drinking friends, they foamed at the mouth.

Of course, one of the biggest problems with the Rally was that Comedy Central/Viacom/Stewart/Colbert (whoever was actually paying the money) didn’t pay for the extra Saturday service for DC’s Metro system. So it was completely overwhelmed. And while it’s kind of sweet they grossly underestimated the attendance, they didn’t provide enough Jumbotrons for anyone to see or hear what they were doing unless you were fairly close to the stage. So while Stewart & Colbert play the vital “court jester” part of our society, they certainly don’t think things through all the time.

Except, you know, they’re comedians, so it doesn’t bother me that much. However, it clearly shows how they aren’t really ready to lead. But then again, they really don’t seem to want to – they just want people to be engaged enough in the system to change the leadership we have. And that’s a good thing.
