I fear the record is a bit more complex than that – while I gladly accept that Mr Natanyahu by no means personifies Judaism, to say that the latter has nothing to do with the acts perpetrated by this unconscionable war criminal and the regime he «leads» is, perhaps, to go too far. Open your Old Testament – or Tanak, if you prefer – to Exodus 32:26-28 and jump into the narrative : Moses comes down the mountain, finds the people dancing ’round the golden calf, and calls to himself those «on the Lord’s side», whom he then orders to take their swords, go back to the party, «and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour». According to the text, this is then done, leaving some 3000 men dead. It would seem that war criminal Bibi is no more than yet another in a long procession of murderers and executioners who certainly constitute a not insignificant part of the Jewish tradition….
