God is the thing that arises when you come up against your limitations and realize that you must acknowledge them, and then live with that, and be satisfied and empowered by that, because it sharpens your understanding of what you have control over. God is that person you talk to when you talk to yourself and realize that you have no general way to construct answers so you accept the answers that come by way of feeling rather than reasoning, and that becomes prayer.
