  1. I think that is the Rape of Nanking baby from 1937; it looks like a photograph I’ve seen.
I appreciate acid/caustic “humour”; there is a certain need to know HOW to answer. A friend of mine and his wife and me have visited Germany several times including Dresden (for me in 1991 & 1995), I called him up the evening of 11. September 2001 as I needed someone to talk with.
Turns out–we BOTH had thought of the Fire-Bombing of Dresden in 1945 when we saw the aftermath of Al-qaida’s attack. You’re NOT supposed to think THAT—but we both did. That ought to be what’s behind this cartoon—but Booth handled it instead as Hamas-friendly propaganda.
A few months later an NPR reporter did a story from the site of the memorial to the General Slocum steamer’s victims–over a thouand–in the now non-German Lutheran neighborhood most of them were from. That 1904 disaster is today largely forgotten by most. Eventually “9/11” might get that way, too, she concluded.

    1. Astonishing to see this honest response story turned into an accusation of Mr. Fish’s cartoon being something less than it is! But I may be missing the intent of self satire, which is often tricky.

  2. Which Israeli babies? You mean the fabricated decapitated ones used to justify the genocide? The fabricated rapes? The accusations discredited by Israelis? That’s what the genocide campaign is on about. But it is silly we first need permission from Israelis to discredit before we can call a fib a fib. October 7th happened, but the fib fest used to pour gas on fire to bring out Israel’s genocidal organ (well, let’s be fair, it was ALWAYS there) and to be more brazen about it. Hey, livestreaming the genocide is the new German porn, didn’t ya know? No Israeli babies harmed? Yes, from Hamas rockets and not justified, ever. But after blocks in Gaza bombed to smithereens well before October 7th 2023, a pathetic tit/tat attempt from the occupied is unsurprising. We can tut tut the Gazans, but we are not occupied.
