Professor Fish on the UPenn Podcast ‘Office Hours’

Here’s a one-on-one conversation I recently did with Bala Thenappan for the new podcast show, Office Hours, brought to you by the Annenberg School for Communications at the University of Pennsylvania where I teach.  During our hour-long discussion I admit my disdain for clean cut American imperialism, my failed early standup years, the whole goddamn point of cartooning and how I occasionally suffer from amnesia brought on by coffee and Advil.  Dig it.

  1. What do you teach…? I’m a new fan…

  2. Dear Professor – if even one of your students awakens to the Way of Fish and surpasses the master, you will have left an enduring legacy of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. What more could an artist ask for. As Thoreau said, “Let your life be a counter friction to stop the machine.” You do that on a daily basis. Merry Yuletide and Happy Winter Solstice!
